The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Method is a facilitated process, and the results and impact are directly tied to the quality of the facilitation. Without proper qualification in facilitating and designing with this powerful methodology it is not possible to deliver real business value with the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Method.

Rasmussen Consulting is one of a few companies capable of qualifying and certifying facilitators in full scope of what you can accomplish with designing and facilitating with the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Method.

The process is hands-on and learning-by-doing

Qualification Objectives
The objective of our certification classes is to provide the new facilitator with the insights, confidence and commitments necessary to prepare and facilitate the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® process in a way that gives maximum value to the end-user and result in real and lasting learning. 

1) To experience and learn the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology and its standard applications, Real Time Strategy for the Enterprise and Real Time Strategy for the Team
a) Deeper insight into the Core Process and the Seven Application Techniques
b) Understanding of the relationship between the methodology and standard applications
c) Experience workshops as end-user participant

2) To learn about and experience the theories underpinning the methodology
a) Deepening the understanding of the theoretical concepts and using the method to demonstrate them
b) Learn about user experiences
c) Insight into critical parts of the methodology and applications (including what is flexible and what is not)

3) To gain the knowledge needed to effectively develop and facilitate workshops using LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®
a) Become a proficient LEGO® builder
b) Heed the different styles of facilitation needed
c) Recognize and reflect on the artificial nature of training situation

4) To practice designing and preparing customized applications of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology.
a) Design and facilitate a segment of workshop with trainer and peer feedback
b) Appreciate the practicalities of using LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®
c) Become familiar with the Facilitator Manual

Who should come?
Facilitators, trainers, consultants, HR professionals, project managers, coaches, including agile coaches, strategists, university professors, teachers, branding professionals, and strategists can be trained to apply this methodology to a range of business issues such as strategy development, innovation, organizational development, product development and team building.  Additionally, if you work as a researcher, IT professional, executive/life coach, or leader in your organization, your certification in this methodology can bring enormous benefits and is a strong addition to your toolkit of techniques.

Walk away with
The highest level of qualification possible for designing and facilitating with the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® approach, hands-on experiences, theory, facilitation and design manuals, application examples and access to workshop design and facilitation support.

Session duration
The session runs over 4 days. The process is highly experiential (limited to 12 - 13 participants) and uses a format that is directly transferable to real workshop situations. The training is delivered by either Robert Rasmussen, developer of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Method and co-founder of the Association of Master Trainers in the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Method, or a trainer qualified and supervised by Robert Rasmussen.
